The Community of Hixon is located in the North Cariboo of British Columbia between Prince George and Quesnel. Hixon is named after Joseph Foster Hixon, the leader of an 1866 gold mining expedition. Hixon is noted for its naturally beautiful surroundings with a visible downtown core as you travel through along Highway 97.
